Lafayette chose to work at WWU because of its medium size, his previous work experience at Western, its excellent location, supportive staff, and because Western students are passionate about many topics. His department serves the first generation of PELL-eligible students, of which he fit both categories as an undergrad student, and he greatly enjoys the ability to work with this target population and being able to work and support a huge variety of students on campus.
He has a great passion for working with students and enjoys listening to their goals and dreams, and wants to help them reach their goals through building relationships, mentoring and advising. Lafayette does what he can to foster growth and development within students as well.
During his college days, Lafayette played college basketball, and even now loves to game and let loose on the court.
